Members
Membership in SSC specialist groups is by invitation, and the groups are dissolved and reconstructed every three years. However, if a country has no representative, BSG Chairs are always happy to receive self nominations. Membership in the Bat Specialist Group was revised in 2007, and there are currently over 100 individual members. Members are experts on the bat taxa in their country, and provide a first contact source to explore ongoing bat related conservation and research projects and people involved in bat projects in a specific country.
